Due to popular demand, EP Training runs Driver CPC courses in Surrey every month of the year. Whether you’re looking for a single, 7 hour module or consecutive courses in order to complete your training in just one week, EP Training can help.
Driver CPC was first introduced in the UK back in 2008. It’s now a mandatory and legal requirement that all new and existing HGV and PCV licences holders, who drive for hire or reward, complete 35 hours of periodic Driver CPC training every five years.
1. Improve road safety
2. Underpin and expand on existing driver knowledge and skills
3. Ensure new entrants obtain the required knowledge and skills
EP Training’s current Periodic Driver CPC training programme ensures that many essential elements of professional driving are covered. Our modules have been developed, written and delivered by time served, professional instructors.
All of our courses have been approved by JAUPT, as have our training facilities (centre number: AC00110) in Great Bookham near Leatherhead. Our modules topics include:
All of our Driver CPC courses can be booked in person, over the phone or online, via our website.
EP Training will ensure your training hours are logged with the DVLA and once you’re training is complete, you’ll receive your Driver Qualification Card (DQC).
All new drivers, who undertake a full, practical LGV or PCV course with EP Training, will complete Initial Driver CPC training as part of their programme.
Just like periodic training, Initial Driver CPC training confirms that a newly qualified driver has achieved a high and professional level of skill and knowledge.
Initial Driver CPC, combined with practical and theoretical training is split into four modules, which will all need to be passed in order to achieve C, CE, C1, C1E, D1 or D1E licence entitlement.
Module 2 (case study) and module 4 (practical demonstration) make up the Initial Driver CPC element. Modules 1 and 3 cover the theoretical and practical examinations respectively.
EP Training has produced a special CD-ROM which is the ideal training tool for students revising their module 2 case study examination.
Spend a day with EP Training brushing up your skills for the module 4 practical associated knowledge exam at our training facilities in Great Bookham, Surrey.
In order to pass the module 4 exam, students will need to demonstrate their ability to ensure a vehicle and its load are both safe and secure.
We can arrange your test and supply a training vehicle.
