LoCity is accredited by FORS and focuses on reducing the carbon emitted impact of trucks and buses. This will be achieved by better journey planning, defensive and fuel efficient driving techniques as well as investigating other “environmentally friendly” alternative fuels.
This is a 7 hour course and can count as Driver CPC hours which can be delivered online or in the classroom.
At the end of this course candidates will have a better understanding of the following issues: air quality and reducing fuel consumption by planning journeys and improving the vehicle checking system. Investigating ways to use technology advances to help improve efficiently and reduce the impact on the environment.
Transport Operators can demonstrate adherence to FORS D4 as professional development by encouraging their drivers to complete this training session.
This is a must attend course all commercial HGV drivers, and is seen as a recommended course for bus and small van drivers attaining Silver FORS accreditation S5/G5 level.
