All courses are inclusive of tuition, VAT, test fees, and study material, and can be booked online or over the phone.
Transport Manager CPC Training (CPC)
If you intend to use a goods vehicle over 3.5 tonnes MAM (Maximum Authorised Mass) for business activities, you'll require an Operator licence. Legally, you must also appoint or employ a qualified Transport Manager (CPC holder) if you transport other people's goods.
Obtaining the CPC qualification involves familiarising yourself with the syllabus and passing two examinations: a multiple-choice (R1) and case study (R2) paper. The syllabus covers all aspects of running a transport business, making proper training and preparation key to success.
EP Training offers several options for TM CPC training, including intensive classroom courses, home study, and online training.
Transport Manager Refresher Training (TM Refresher)
Although the Transport Manager CPC qualification is granted for life and isn't legally subject to renewal, CPC holders are encouraged to attend periodic refresher training. EP Training's TM refresher training is recognised by all bodies and associations, and no exams are required. These courses can be attended online using MS Teams.
Operator Licence Awareness Training (OLAT)
Companies, owner drivers, or sole traders who only ever move their own goods (like scaffolders, builders' merchants, and supermarkets) require a Restricted Operator Licence. The rules for these licences are enforced by the police, DVSA, and the Transport Commissioner's Office, and non-compliance can result in serious consequences.
We highly recommend completing an OLAT course if you intend to acquire or already have a Restricted O Licence. This one-day online course will familiarise you with your legal obligations and update you on any changes in legislation. Attendance is all that's required, and upon completion, you will receive an attendance certificate which can be sent to the TC as confirmation.
You can book and purchase all the listed courses online via our website.
